Wellbeing Wednesday Club Brings Calm and Creativity to Coombswood School

At Coombswood School, our Wellbeing Wednesday Club has become a much-loved part of the week. Every Wednesday afternoon, learners come together for a gentle, mindful colouring session designed to support emotional wellbeing and create a calm space to relax.

Learners can choose from a range of soothing colouring sheets, including nature scenes, patterns, and positive affirmation designs. While they colour, they chat with staff about their interests, their week, and how mindful activities help them feel relaxed and focused.

The sessions provide a peaceful pause in the middle of a busy week, helping learners develop emotional awareness, build confidence, and practise simple mindfulness strategies.

Principal Snita Verma shared her thoughts on the importance of the club:

“Our Wellbeing Wednesday sessions offer learners a safe, calming space where they can slow down and express themselves. It’s wonderful to see them developing healthy strategies to support their mental and emotional wellbeing.”

The Wellbeing Wednesday Club continues to grow in popularity, and we are delighted to see learners expressing themselves creatively and taking pride in looking after their wellbeing.
