During Anti-Bullying Week, Coombswood School focused on kindness, friendship, and inclusivity, culminating in the creation of a special Good Friend Hand Wreath.
Each learner wrote a positive quality on a paper hand and then gave it to another learner, celebrating what makes a good friend. This collaborative activity encouraged reflection on respect, empathy, and the importance of ensuring that everyone feels safe, valued, and included within the school community.
School Principal Snita Verma said:
“Anti-Bullying Week is a wonderful opportunity to reinforce the values of kindness and respect at Coombswood School. Our Good Friend Hand Wreath project allowed learners to recognise and celebrate each other’s positive qualities, helping to strengthen friendships and create an inclusive, supportive environment for everyone.”
The activity provided a meaningful, hands-on way for learners to consider their impact on others, while also producing a vibrant display of their creativity and thoughtfulness.
