Coombswood School has proudly unveiled its brand-new Regulation Station, a dedicated wellbeing space designed to help learners manage their emotions, reset, and refocus throughout the school day.
The purpose-built area provides a range of zones tailored to different regulation needs. Learners can unwind in the calm corner, complete with books, soft lighting, and comfortable seating, or choose the quiet work area for a peaceful environment when they need to step back from a busy classroom. For those who benefit from movement-based regulation, the gross motor zone includes a trampette, balance board, and peanut ball to support sensory and emotional reset.
Since opening, the Regulation Station has already seen enthusiastic use, with learners confidently exploring the space and selecting the tools that help them feel grounded and ready to learn.
School Principal Snita Verma said:
“At Coombswood School, we understand that emotional regulation is essential for learning. The Regulation Station provides our learners with a safe, supportive space where they can take a moment, reset, and return to their lessons feeling calm and prepared. We are already seeing the positive impact this space is having on wellbeing, independence, and readiness to learn.”
The introduction of the Regulation Station marks another step forward in Coombswood School’s commitment to providing a nurturing, inclusive environment where every learner can thrive.
