Coombswood School Stands Together for Anti-Bullying Week

In November 2024, Coombswood School participated in Anti-Bullying Week with a series of engaging activities designed to raise awareness and promote kindness and respect.

Learners explored key concepts such as defining bullying, recognising harmful behaviours like banter, baiting, and false friendships, and understanding their impact on others. They also created thoughtful anti-bullying posters, providing clear guidance on who to contact if someone feels worried or unsafe.

The week culminated with Odd Sock Day on 12th November, where learners and staff wore odd socks to celebrate individuality and embrace the theme of “Choose Respect.”

Principal Snita Verma shared her thoughts on the initiative:

“Anti-Bullying Week is an important opportunity to teach our learners about empathy, respect, and the power of standing together against bullying. The creativity and enthusiasm shown during these activities highlight the strength of our school community.”

The event reinforced Coombswood’s dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive environment where every learner feels valued and supported.
